I hesitated to renew my subscription because
we get so many magazines. But then I realized that, in these days when
it is so hard to communicate with my teens, your magazine engages them
in a conversation about morality and culture, the conversation I wish
I could have. They grab Plugged In out of the mail and
read it closely while I pretend not to notice. It says the things I
wish I could say but often can't because of the whole teen/parent thing.
So I am renewing because this is a precious, vital thing you are doing.

Thank you so much for publishing the Chart
Watch column in Plugged In each month. It is so useful to have
a profile of the multitude of music options emerging these days.

You've got a positive, important and valued
role to play in this postmodern culture we're trying to navigate.

Being a teenager in today's world is difficult beyond measure. Your
magazine is so encouraging!

I'm 15 and I really enjoy your reviews and highlights of today's strange
media. Many kids my age call me weird because I don't like MTV, teen
comedies, etc., but I think you guys provide the real thing to parents.
I don't think there is a review magazine that is as accurate as you
are.

Before discovering Plugged In three years ago, I was at the mercy
of MPAA ratings and [sometimes misguided] advice from friends. Since
then, your reviews have prevented me from making regrettable decisions.
John Tucker

My family and I have always been very conservative in our movie watching.
But now that I am at college, I don't always have my parents here to
advise me. So I have turned to you.
Jennifer Pinkerton
Purcellville, Virginia
Our family subscribes to your magazine.
I (Mom) am always telling people about it, but most don't seem to care.
Often those I have told will later tell me about something they or their
kids saw and how bad it was. I'm sitting there thinking, "If you
had gone to Plugged In, which I told you about, you could
have avoided your mistake."
