Whitney Houston The Bodyguard Soundtrack
Houston's multi-million-selling remake of Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You" pledges lasting devotion. Her single "Run to You" is also a positive tune about supportive romance, as are Joe Cocker's "Trust in Me" and Lisa Stansfield's "Someday (I'm Coming Back)." S.O.U.L. System's breezy rap, "It's Gonna Be a Lovely Day," and Curtis Stiger's rendition of "(What's So Funny 'Bout) Peace, Love and Understanding" are similarly upbeat. Houston delivers a lovely, biblically faithful version of "Jesus Loves Me."

"Queen of the Night" takes an aggressive sexual posture, as does Whitney's hit "I'm Every Woman" (though to a lesser degree).

One of the best selling albums of all time, The Bodyguard has moved more than 15 million copies since its release. Lots to like here. With the noted exceptions, this motion picture soundtrack poses little threat to teens' value systems.
