Papa Roach Infest
By relating the turmoil of a "Broken Home," lead singer Coby Dick sanctions healthy, intact families. A hidden track urges listeners, "Let’s . . . be responsible for every action." "Between Angels and Insects" chastises someone for their materialism and greed ("The things you own own you/. . . Possessions they are never gonna fill the void"), but . . .

This song and others are crawling with obscenities. Thoughts of suicide ("Would it be wrong, would it be right/If I took my life tonight/Chances are I might") are central to the mournful "Last Resort." On "Never Enough," the singer asks to be put out of his misery. Elsewhere, he casts off friends in favor of binge drinking ("Binge") and smokes marijuana ("Revenge," "Thrown Away"). "Blood Brothers" implies that murder is to be expected, and shouts "It’s in our nature to kill, kill, kill!" "Dead Cell" emphatically tells fans not to turn the other cheek. References to oral sex and vengeful beatings also litter this stickered disc.

What breed of vermin are families dealing with here? One cut on Infest boasts, "We are glue-sniffing cybersluts with homicidal minds and handguns/ We are insane." If parents find evidence of this Roach in the house, they should start fumigating.
