 | | | Burnout Paradise RATED E10+ There are racing games, and then there are rage-racing games. 'Burnout Paradise' falls in the latter camp of speed-crazed smash-bang-boom adventures that'll have you yearning to run red lights in no time flat.
 | | | | | | Soul Calibur IV RATED T Namco Bandai's latest installment in this T-rated fighting series welcomes Darth Vader and Yoda to the fold as guest combatants. Read this review, you will...
 | | | | | | Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit RATED T What's the culmination of 25 years of 'Dragon Ball' lore combined with hyperactive marketing? A highly repetitive game with brightly colored creatures bouncing around a high-def screen in arm-flexing, teeth-gnashing, insult-spitting, laser bolt-blazing mayhem.
 | | | | | | NASCAR 09 RATED E The newest in the long-running 'NASCAR' series mixes all of the franchise's favorite bits with a few new superspeedway pluses. One such plus is the addition of Jeff Gordon. (He does more than just pose for the game's cover.)
 | | | | | | Civilization Revolution RATED E10+ The 'Civilization' games have been popular for quite a few years now—the first one came out in 1991. But they've only been available for your personal computer. Now producer Sid Meier has constructed one for your game console, too.

Your Guide to Platforms
Playing games requires getting a game console (or platform). Each is unique in the types of games it attracts, as well as the kinds of parental controls it offers:
PlayStation
Sony has long dominated the game console competition. And its latest, PlayStation 3, has quickly become a favorite of dedicated gamers.

Xbox
Microsoft's entry into the gaming world, the Xbox, has been succeeded by the Xbox 360, a console that touts both its interactive online abilities and its parental controls.

Wii
The Wii is Nintendo's take on next-generation gaming. And it doesn't just displace the GameCube, it virtually obliterates it. Biggest claim to fame? Wireless, motion-sensing controllers.

PC
The personal computer is still one of the game world's biggest and most-loved platforms. It not only connects players to software-based games, but also online games.

Handhelds
Sony's PSP and Nintendo's DS lead the pack in this category which is devoted to gamers who always want something to play—anytime, anywhere.
